Meet
Jon LeRoux

A Christian, husband, and proud small business owner that hates bullies and is running to take back Michigan for the working class.

Jon LeRoux, Candidate for Michigan's 99th District State Representative

Early Life

I was born in Hanover, NH. Moving throughout the country during my childhood, I had the opportunity to live in New Hampshire, Florida, Georgia, Texas, Oklahoma, and Michigan.

I have three sisters, and I’m the youngest in my family. My father and mother both worked in retail sales and, later, management, for many years. My mother resides in Texas, while my father is in Bay City, MI.

Living in the Bible Belt while falling in love with computers acted as the cornerstones of my belief system: I believe we should love one another regardless of race, color, creed, affiliation, politics, or anything else; and I believe that the scientific method is the best tool we’ve been given to behold the wonders of the universe.

Education & Career

While studying Computer Science at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, I was blessed to meet my wife, Maria. Without question, marrying Maria has been the best decision and greatest blessing of my life.

In 2012, she and I decided to strike out on our own and found our digital marketing business, which we’ve successfully run for more than 10 years now. Previously, I worked as an IT and programming professional for a hospice.

Why I'm Running

First and foremost, I hate bullies. And bullies like Donald Trump only stop when you stand up to them and punch them in the mouth.

His rise to strongman popularity has emboldened other authoritarian and fascist movements across the country, including the Nazis. I’ll be damned if I’m going to sit on the sidelines after so many brave men and women gave everything to see the Nazis, and other bullies like them, crumble.

I’m running to show that no one who supports Donald Trump will run unopposed. I’m running to show Nazis that they’re not safe, wanted, or welcome here in Michigan or anywhere else. I’m running to make Michigan’s laws a reflection of the will of its people.

How I will achieve that:
  • Analyze everything with a science-backed, data-focused approach.

  • Favor outcomes that favor working-class Michiganders, truly small businesses, and the environment

  • Stand up to bullies in any form.
